The Princess Diaries Series by Meg Cabot is a book about Mia who finds out she is the daughter of the prince of some far off country. Many people love this series because it tells the fantasy of every girl, to become a princess. Recommended for ages 12-15. (9+ books)
I did not like this series at all. Mia became very annoying after the first couple of chapters and her whiny behavior bugged me even more. I could barely get through the first book let alone the series. This series is boring and ridiculous. The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot is a unique book about Suze and her ability to see ghosts. Suze is a bit of a trouble maker and trying to send ghosts to the "other side" doesn't help her cause. Recommended for ages 13 & up. (6 books)
I loved this series. It was so unique and I haven't come across another series like it yet. Suze is quirky character that makes you like her the moment you pick up the book. Another easy read but it's enjoyable. 1-800 Where Are You Series by Meg Cabot is a story about Jess who gets hit by lightening and because of that, she has the ability to locate people. Recommended 13 & up. (5 books)
All American Girl Series by Meg Cabot is about Samantha and her life after saving the president of the United States of America. Her life changes drastically and yet she still remains her same self. Recommended grades 6 & up (2 books)
I thought the first book was really good, however Ready or Not, the second book, wasn't as good as I hoped. Its a typical Meg Cabot book, nothing really exciting that makes it stand out. Airhead Series by Meg Cabot is about Emerson Watts who emerges into the world of living in someone else's body. She has to rethink her life and who she is. Recommended 12 & up. (1+ book)
I have not read this book yet so I can not review it. This is Meg Cabot's first sci-fi book and I'm intrigued on how this book will differ from her other books, or if it will have the same "Meg Cabot" writing style. According to amazon.com: (23 reviews) The Clique by Lisi Harrison is an ongoing series about girls in middle school. Enter Claire Lyons, the poor girl who wants to be "in". Enter Massie Block, the rich girl and Alicia Rivera, Dylan Marvil and Kristen Gregory, they would be her clique. Recommended for grades 5-8. (11+ books) The movie is being released on DVD Nov. 2008
The first book was cute, the rest just annoying. These girls are in 7th grade in half the series and then 8th grade the other half. Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl here, this series is about the juicy life of Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Woldorf, Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald, Jenny and Dan Humphrey. What would a book be without its cat fights and backstabbing rich Upper East Side New Yorkers. It is told from an anonymous blogger known as "Gossip Girl." Recommended grades 7 & up (12 book) Now a TV show on CW
This series gets annoying, I get tired of the constant fight between Serena and Blair; Blair and Nate and everyone else. Jenny gets annoying. Its an ok book, a perfect tv show though. The It Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar. A spawn off of the popular Gossip Girl Series, the It Girl is dedicated to the wonderful and annoying Jenny Humphrey. She was such a wanna-be she got her own book series! No longer at Constance Billard, Jenny Humphrey has moved on and put her horrible past behind her, or not. Recommended grades 7 & up. (7+ books)
Jenny Humphrey was annoying Gossip Girl, now she gets to be the main wanna-be in this book. I can't stand her, so consequently I can't stand this series. Gossip Girl: The Carlyle's by Cecily von Ziegesar. Another spawn off of the original Gossip Girl books. Three sisters (all triplets) move to New York after the death of their grandmother. We can all guess what happens now, trouble. Recommended grades 7 & up (1+ book)
I have not read this series yet, and I don't plan too. According to amazon.com: (12 reviews) |
